Your LSSC Transcript
An official transcript is the college's certified statement of a student's academic record. The official transcript is printed on security-sensitive paper and contains the college seal and signature of the college registrar. To obtain an official transcript or to have an official transcript sent to another college, university, or other organization, students must submit an order to the Admissions and Records Office.
An unofficial transcript bears the same information as an official transcript but is not printed on security-sensitive paper and does not bear the seal or the signature of the college registrar. Students may print their own unofficial transcripts via LOIS.
About Placing Your Order for your Official LSSC Transcript
The LSSC Admissions and Records Office takes responsibility for handling transcript orders in a prompt and efficient manner and uses an outside processing service, Credential Solutions, to ensure students' transcripts are processed and delivered quickly. When ordering your official LSSC transcript, keep in mind the following:
For security purposes, official transcripts will not be distributed by fax.
All transcript orders require authorization.
Replacement copies cannot be issued without the required transcript fee.
Students wishing to pick up their transcripts from the South Lake or Sumter campuses must allow an additional 24 - 48 business hours for the official transcript to be available for pick-up.
The LSSC Admissions and Records Office is not responsible for any mishandling by the U.S. post office or the receiving school or agency.
Situations that will prevent LSSC from processing a transcript order include:
No signature on the request.
Insufficient, inaccurate, or illegible identification information.

Ordering Outside Transcripts for LSSC
An official transcript from each college or university that an applicant previously attended (including dual-enrollment) is required in addition to the LSSC application, as is a final, official high school or GED transcript. It is the applicant's responsibility to make arrangements for LSSC to receive all official documents.
Students may find it helpful to use LSSC's Outside/External Transcript Request Form to facilitate the process of ordering external transcripts.
Applicants with general equivalency diplomas (GEDs) who took the GED in the state of Florida may order their official GED transcript from the Florida Department of Education Testing Office, 325 W. Gaines St., Room 634, Tallahassee FL, 32399, Tel: 850-352-4331.
Students who earned a GED in another state must contact that state's department of education to coordinate the sending of the official GED transcript.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Transcripts
LSSC applicants who have participated in an IB Diploma program may order their official IB transcript from the IB website.
Transcripts in languages other than English must be evaluated through a third-party, international education evaluation agency. LSSC recommends either agency:
Each military service branch has developed methods for documenting military training.
The Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy use the Joint Services Transcript (JST) for documenting military training. To obtain your military transcript from any of these branches, visit the JST page for instructions.
The Air Force uses the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcript for documenting all college credit-worthy training received. Because the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC) regionally accredits CCAF, the LSSC Admissions and Records Office will evaluate the transcript just like it would any other transcript.
