BankMobile Refunds (Formerly Higher One)
Each registered student will be issued a refund selection kit from BankMobile, a third-party company responsible for processing LSSC student refunds. Except when credit card refunds are issued, this is how you will receive student refunds from LSSC.
Your BankMobile refund selection kit will be sent to your primary address on file with the College and/or through your LakeHawk e-mail.
Choosing a Refund Preference
Once you receive your refund selection kit, you must log in online at RefundSelection.com and select your refund preference.
Regardless of whether or not you anticipate receiving a refund, it is important that you choose a refund preference.
In order to receive a student refund, you must have chosen a refund preference.
You can choose to set up a direct deposit to the financial institution of your choice or to open a BankMobile Vibe checking account.
Accessing Account Information
BankMobile Vibe Account
The BankMobile Vibe account is a fully functioning FDIC-insured checking account.
If you choose to open a BankMobile Vibe checking account, you will receive a card in the mail. The card is powered by MasterCard© and can be used to make purchases anywhere MasterCard© is accepted.
As there is no PIN involved with the account, when using your card to make purchases, always choose “credit” instead of “debit” at the point of sale. Despite this, the card is technically a debit card and funds must be loaded on the card for it to work successfully.
