The 19th Annual Golf Classic will tee off on Friday, September 22 at the Harbor Hills Country Club. Registration opens at 7:30am with a shotgun start at 8:30am. The entry fee is $125 per golfer.
This annual event is hosted by LSSC Athletics and the LSSC Foundation, Inc. in support of scholarships for student athletes at Lake-Sumter State College. Scholarships are awarded to local student athletes based upon financial need, scholastic aptitude, and athletic excellence.
“The generosity of our sponsors and golfers makes this day possible,” says Athletics Director Mike Matulia. “It’s a great opportunity for the community to play a supporting role in the future of so many of our student athletes.”
This year’s presenting sponsors are the Marian S. Shuck Scholarship Trust, Roy & Ruth Ryan Foundation, Inc., and the Earl B & Sophia H Shaw Charitable Trust.
Play is open to golfers of all levels. The event includes lunch, drinks, and a takeaway bag, including a custom golf shirt commemorating the event.
