CLASSES RESUME: FRIDAY 9/15
STAFF RETURN: THURSDAY 9/14

The President’s Cabinet and the College’s Incident Response & Recovery Team met today to discuss reopening procedures for all Lake-Sumter State College campuses. An initial inspection of our grounds and facilities was conducted today; our campuses received mild to moderate damage.

As we begin to reopen the College, we are aware that Hurricane Irma impacted different areas of our counties in varying ways. We recognize that faculty, staff and students may also need to care for their own families or care for their own property.

All Lake-Sumter State College locations will be open and courses will resume on Friday, Sept. 15.

Staff and faculty will begin returning to campus over the next two days to bring our operations back
online.

Please note that the TEDxLSSC event schedule for Friday, Sept. 15 will occur as planned.

Cooper Memorial Library, New Vision for Independence, and UCF Regional Campuses are all housed on LSSC campuses but have not yet announced their plans to resume their operations.
