TEDxLSSC returns to LSSC in 2019 with theme of Transformation

TEDxLSSC will be returning to Lake-Sumter State College in February 2019 for another exciting and inspiring day filled with engaging, paradigm-shifting talks.

TEDxLSSC 2019 is scheduled for Friday, February 15, 2019, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on the Leesburg campus of Lake-Sumter State College.

“TEDxLSSC will give students, faculty, staff, and the community an opportunity to interact and network with one another while being exposed to creative, new, and exciting ideas,” says Heather Elmatti, coorganizer for the event.

Although the event is six months away, preparations are already well underway. Individuals interested in being a TEDxLSSC speaker can apply at tedxlssc.com by Thursday, September 6, 2018.

TED talks bring together the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline — technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business, and development.

“We’re looking for research-based talks delivered by engaging and dynamic speakers who end up changing our perspectives and/or teaching us something we didn’t know or consider before,” says Amber Karlins, co-organizer for the event.

Members of the community are invited to attend TEDxLSSC and register to attend online at tedxlssc.com. Discounted early bird pricing is available until Dec. 15, 2018. Individuals with questions about participating can contact the organizing group at tedxlssc@lssc.edu.

In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TED has created TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxLSSC is not organized by TED Conferences, but is operated under a license from TED.
