As part of its ongoing commitment to campus safety, Lake-Sumter State College will test its Emergency Alert System on Friday, August 2, 2019, at 10:00am.
The emergency alert will be sent via text message, email, phone call, desktop phones in campus offices, the College’s main Facebook and Twitter accounts, and on the website.
All LSSC students and employees are automatically registered in the system.
Parents and community members can register for alerts from the system by visiting https://www.lssc.edu/safety/emergency-alert/.
The alert will read “This is a TEST of the LSSC Emergency Alert System. No action is required.”.
Any students or employees who do not receive the alert should verify and update their contact information in the Personal Information tab in myLSSC.
