This is not the first time Coach Billings has found himself as a speaker at a convention. Previously, the Leesburg native has presented at the Florida Athletics Coaches Association on multiple topics.  In January, he will find himself on the main stage speaking about the running game and how to control it from the outfield.

The ABCA convention is the largest baseball convention in the world. In 2020, attendance reached over 6,000 as the four-day event features clinics, a trade show, expo theatre, breakout sessions and award celebrations. However, like most events in 2020/2021, this convention will look like no other and will be featured as the first ever ABCA Virtual Convention.

Coach Billings is set to begin his sixth consecutive year as the head coach at Lake-Sumter. It will be his 11th season in total. Before the season came to an abrupt end in 2020, Billings became the all-time winningest coach in program history.
