In anticipation of impacts from Hurricane Ian, Lake-Sumter State College will close all campus locations and cancel all classes on Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30.

Please note that during this time there will be no access to any facilities on LSSC campuses. For your safety and others, do not attempt to visit any LSSC campus during this closure.

Additional information, as it becomes available, will be posted to social media, LSSC Alert, and LSSC.edu (this page).

To update your notification preferences for LSSC Alert, please visit LSSC.edu/emergencyalerts for information on accessing your profile. Community members can sign up to receive alerts at the same location.

LSSC encourages you to sign up for emergency notifications from County Emergency Management officials.  You can receive alerts from Lake County by signing up for AlertLake and from Sumter County by signing up for AlertSumter. If you live in another county, please visit Alert Florida to sign up for emergency alerts from your county.

We also recommend that you begin preparing and reviewing your own emergency plan; important tips are available at http://www.floridadisaster.org/getaplan/.
