Start your career as an electrician at no cost!

The Electrical Non-Union Apprenticeship Program with Lake-Sumter State College is a combination of on-the-job training (OJT) and related study instruction. The partner employer provides the OJT experiences and Lake-Sumter State College provides the related coursework training.

The apprenticeship program is a four-year program with the related study based on Mike Holt’s Electrical Apprenticeship Curriculum, which was developed with the goal of preparing apprentices to become competent journeyman electricians.

In addition to their OJT, students receive support from a qualified, skilled electrician instructor who oversees their progress and is able to assist if there are any questions in the related study courses. This course support is provided by Lake-Sumter State College.

There is NO COST to apprentices in this program. Textbooks and instruction materials are provided by Lake-Sumter State College and the participating employer.
