Leesburg Campus to Reopen on Oct. 2 – Precautionary Boil Orders in Effect

All classes and activities on the Leesburg campus will resume tomorrow, October 2. The water line break from earlier today has been repaired.

A precautionary boil order is in effect for the Student Center, Fine Arts Building & Convocation Center (Gymnasium). Signs are posted in these buildings and occupants should not drink water from faucets until further notice. Updated signs will be posted when the boil order has been lifted.

The Leesburg Campus Cafe will be open normal hours (7:30 am – 2:30 pm) and will be taking additional precautions during the boil order.

Students should check with their instructors regarding any possible changes to assignments due to the Oct. 1 closure.

Employees should report on their normal work schedule.

Original Update (Oct. 1 at 9:30 am)

Due to a water main break near College Drive and U.S. Highway 441, water to the Leesburg Campus has been shut off. We expect repairs to be completed today.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Leesburg Campus has been closed for the day (October 1) and all in-person classes have been canceled. Students should contact their faculty members with any course-specific questions.

All operations continue at the South Lake Campus and Sumter Center.

The water supply to Building M is not impacted, and CareerSource of Central Florida will remain open.
