Mission Statement: The mission of the Lake-Sumter State College Learning Centers is to provide accurate, timely academic support for students and faculty in a comfortable, non-judgmental setting.

Free Language Learning Support
  • Babbel- The first lesson on Babbel is free. 
  • Busuu- Busuu has two tiers: free and premium (premium requires a payment). Free membership allows users to use flashcards for one language. Premium membership lets users have virtual conversations and get official certifications.
  • Duolingo- Duolingo is free. 
  • HelloTalk-  HelloTalk has special features such as voice conversations and pen pal communication. 
  • MemRise- Free basic learning. To use their advanced learning lessons, a subscription is required.
  • Pronunciator- Free through Lake County Libraries
