New Student Orientation is your official introduction to Lake-Sumter State College and the perfect way to get ready for your first semester.
Register for a Self-Paced or Virtual Orientation Session
All first time in college and dual enrollment students must complete a New Student Orientation before registering for classes. You have two options to complete your New Student Orientation.
First Time in College
Both options provide the same valuable information to help you start strong at LSSC. Simply register for the option that best fits your needs.
Self-Paced Orientation: Complete orientation at your convenience through Canvas. It’s flexible and available anytime that fits your schedule.

Live Virtual Orientation: Join us online for a real-time session led by our student success team. You’ll be able to ask questions, connect with other new students, and get personalized guidance.

Be sure to submit your official high school transcript or a copy of your GED to Admissions as soon as possible. These documents give your academic advisor important information to help you plan your first-semester schedule.
Dual Enrollment
Are you an incoming Dual Enrollment student? If so, register for your New Student Advising and Registration session.
