Many members of our college community remember exactly where they were when they learned of the attacks. For others, particularly many of our students, September 11 is a moment they know only through history books, classrooms, and the stories shared by family members and teachers. As the years pass, it becomes even more important that we remember the events of that day and the lessons they continue to teach us.

Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) has been awarded a $5.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) to support the development of the Eustis Education and Training Center (EETC), a regional workforce development facility designed to address critical labor shortages and strengthen economic growth across Lake County and Central Florida.
