Founded in 1962, Lake-Sumter State College is consistently ranked in the top 150 community colleges nationwide and among the best in the state of Florida. LSSC takes pride in providing a high-quality education at an affordable price, and has three locations in the rapidly expanding suburbs of the Orlando metropolitan area. The Leesburg Campus, South Lake Campus (Clermont) and the Sumter Center (Sumterville) collectively serve over 6,000 students annually. As a member of the Florida College System, LSSC is part of Florida’s workforce engine with programs and certificates designed to support and prepare students for today’s dynamic workforce.

Insurances for employee paid by the college
Lake Sumter State College pays 100% of the premium for medical, dental, vision GAP, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Dependent coverage that includes domestic partner is available for an additional premium deduction.
Generous Leave Time
Full-time employees earn sick, vacation, and personal leave, as well as, paid Spring Break (one week) and Winter Break (two weeks)
Professional Development Possibilities
Employees can attend classes held by faculty or staff and also attend professional seminars related to you the job, which LSSC will cover the registration fees.
Employees, spouse, children or domestic partner can take up to 2 classes per semester and paid for by LSSC.
