Governor Scott Appoints 4 to LSSC District Board of Trustees
 

Governor Rick Scott has announced three reappointments and one appointment to the Lake-Sumter State College District Board of Trustees.

Bryn Blaise, of the Villages, is the construction manager for the Villages Commercial Property Management Blaise is appointed to fill a vacant seat for a term beginning January 5, 2018, and ending May 31, 2019.

Bret Jones, of Clermont, is the principal attorney and owner of the Law Offices of Bret Jones, P.A. Jones is reappointed for a term beginning January 5, 2018, and ending May 31, 2021.

Marcia Butler, of the Villages, previously taught in the Pinellas County school system. Butler is reappointed for a term beginning January 5, 2018, and ending May 31, 2021.

Tim Morris, of Leesburg, is the vice president of Ernie Morris Enterprises, Inc. Morris is reappointed for a term beginning January 5, 2018, and ending May 31, 2021.

The District Board of Trustees is the legal governing body for Lake-Sumter State College and is composed of nine dedicated citizens who serve without pay. The governor appoints five citizens from Lake County and four from Sumter County to four-year terms. The District Board meets monthly and meeting details are available at lssc.edu/publicmeetings.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
