Lake-Sumter State College is proud to partner with the University of Central Florida to offer the DirectConnect to UCF® program to LSSC students. This nationally recognized program provides guaranteed admission and a smooth transition from LSSC to UCF after completing your Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree.

High school students earning both the standard high school diploma and an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree through dual enrollment from a Florida College System or State University System institution who do not meet FTIC admission requirements may be admitted to UCF under Florida Board of Governors Regulation 6.005.

With an earned A.A. or statewide articulated Associate in Science (A.S.) degree from Lake-Sumter State College, you are guaranteed admission to UCF (consistent with university policy), but not necessarily for the term of your choice.

Program Length
Full-time students can complete the A.A. through LSSC within two years and after transferring to UCF, complete the bachelor’s degree within another two years (four years total).
Program Cost
Tuition costs for programs and courses at the associate’s degree level are $109.73 per credit hour. Additional costs will include textbooks, materials, and course fees.

Students graduating from high school and enrolling at LSSC may qualify for other scholarships offered through the State of Florida. You will be notified of your eligibility after you apply to the College.

Yes, but this is a special situation. High School students earning both the standard high school diploma and an associate in arts (A.A.) degree through dual enrollment from a Florida College System or State University System institution who do not meet FTIC admission requirements may be admitted to UCF under Florida Board of Governors Regulation 6.005. In addition to submitting the application and fee, the student must also submit:
- Completed Self-Provided Academic Record for Knights “SPARK” Form; students who have already completed high school must submit a current official high school or home-school transcript
- Official SAT [code: 5233] or ACT [code: 0735] score
- Official GED or TOEFL/IELTS score, if applicable
- Application essay (strongly encouraged but not required)
FTIC application deadlines are May 1st for fall, November 1st for spring, and March 1st for summer.
