Bret Jones
Mr. Jones is a native of Clermont, a product of the public school system, and still resides in Clermont with his family. He graduated from South Lake High School, was a student athlete, and fondly recalls field trips to Lake-Sumter growing up.
Coming full circle on his experience, Bret believes that this college is an important part of the fabric of our community and advocates for students as a member of the board.
He is also a leader in developing the economic development strategy across Lake County as the chair of Lake 100.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin School of Law and now owns a law practice in Clermont that focuses on Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Estate Planning.
Tim Morris
A lifelong resident of Lake County and a proud alumnus of Leesburg High School and Lake-Sumter Community College, Tim exemplifies the power of education in shaping lives and opening doors to success.
As Vice President of Ernie Morris Enterprises, his family-owned business, Tim has played a key role in its growth into a leader in the Southeast. His firsthand experience has shown him how education not only equips individuals with the skills needed for career success but also strengthens businesses and communities.
In addition to his leadership at LSSC, Tim serves as Treasurer of the Florida College System Foundation, which provides life-changing scholarships to students at all 28 state colleges in Florida. His commitment to advancing education at both the local and state levels reflects his deep understanding of how higher education transforms lives and helps students achieve their career goals.
Dr. Dan Boggus
Dr. Boggus is a Physician with Aegis Medical Group. Active in his community, he currently serves as a member of the American and Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Boggus earned his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida.
Roger Croft
Croft is the General Manager for Dobbs Equipment. Active in his community, he currently serves as the Chairman of the City of Leesburg Recreation Advisory Board and is a member of the Greater Leesburg Area Community Charities. Croft attended Lake-Sumter State College.
Mr. Clarence ‘Steven’ Munz
Munz is the Owner and Operator of Galaxy Home Solutions, Inc. and 5M Livestock Company. A veteran of the United States Army and active in his community, he is the founder of The Villages Pop Warner Football League. Munz is the recipient of the 2012 Mid-Market Governor’s Business Expansion Award, presented by former Governor Rick Scott.
Samantha Scott
Scott is a Realtor for Connie Mahan Real Estate and the Director of Marketing for Mike Scott Plumbing. Previously, she served as the Executive Director for the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce. Active in her community, she currently serves as the Secretary of the Sumter County Youth Center Board of Directors and is a member of the Realtors Association of Lake and Sumter Counties, the Sumter County Farm Bureau, and the Sumter County Fair Association.
Matt Silbernagel
Silbernagel is the Area Contract Manager for Meta Platforms, Inc. and an Attorney and Counsel for Nardella & Nardella, PLLC. Active in his community, he has served on the Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization Community Advisory Committee and was the President of the Florida Bar Eminent Domain Committee. Silbernagel earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Florida and his juris doctor from Barry University.
