Transcripts

An official transcript is the college’s certified statement of a student’s academic record. The official transcript is printed on security-sensitive paper and contains the college seal and signature of the college registrar. To obtain an official transcript or to have an official transcript sent to another college, university, or other organization, students must submit an order to the Admissions and Records Office.

An unofficial transcript bears the same information as an official transcript but is not printed on security-sensitive paper and does not bear the seal or the signature of the college registrar. Students may print their own unofficial transcripts via myLSSC

Enrollment Verification

To provide a more efficient and cost-effective enrollment and degree verification process, Lake-Sumter State College has entered into a formal agreement with The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to process written verifications of degrees, current enrollment, and past attendance inquiries. NSC’s services are available to students, alumni, and employers and background-screening firms who prefer degree verification documents without the detail found on transcripts.
