The A.A. English and Literature Pathway provides a foundational liberal arts education, emphasizing five key areas: communications, humanities, mathematics, science, and social science, with a focus on English and Literature bachelor’s program prerequisites.

This pathway prepares students to enter a bachelor’s program as a junior and satisfies general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree.

Courses can be completed online or on campus in Leesburg and Clermont, offering flexibility for students to choose electives of interest.

The Associate in Arts English and Literature Pathway provides a basic liberal arts education, with courses focused in five key areas: communications, humanities, mathematics, science and social science; with an emphasis on English & Literature bachelor program prerequisites.

Program Length

The program consists of 60 credit hours and can be completed in two years when attending full-time.

Tuition costs for programs and courses at the associate’s degree level are $109.73 per credit hour. Additional costs will include textbooks, materials, and course fees.

Outcomes

The A.A. degree prepares students for transfer as juniors to a Florida public university; however, students need to be aware of specific courses required for acceptance into most majors. With careful selection, these courses may be used as either general education requirements or as electives. The A.A. degree guarantees admission to a Florida public university but not necessarily to an upper division, limited access program which may have additional requirements.
