At its annual Counselors’ Conference last week, Lake-Sumter State College recognized the importance of the role that high school counselors play in supporting and preparing students to enroll in college or post-secondary education.
Dr. Claire Brady, LSSC Vice President of Enrollment and Student Affairs, has been named to a two-year term as a board member of the James E. Scott Academy. The James E. Scott Academy Board is comprised of accomplished chief student affairs officers representing the global membership of NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.

As part of the College’s commitment to promoting a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for its students, visitors, and employees, LSSC is now tobacco & smoke free. No smoking, using tobacco products, or vaping of any substances is allowed indoors or outdoors on any LSSC property.
Temporary closures of Parking Lot G (near Building M) and the connecting road to Lot E (near Science-Math Building) will be necessary between January 8 and 14 to prepare and complete the paving project for this area of campus.

Lake-Sumter State College will host the 61st Commencement Ceremony on Friday, December 6 in the Kelly Convocation Center. Attendees should park in Lot A. The roadway near Science-Math Building will be closed.
