Lake-Sumter State College will host the 61st Commencement Ceremony on Friday, December 6 in the Kelly Convocation Center. Attendees should park in Lot A. The roadway near Science-Math Building will be closed.
Lake-Sumter State College will be closed from Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Sunday, Dec. 1 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. All offices will be closed during this time and scheduled course meetings will not occur.

LSSC runners William Troupe and Alexander Croy both qualified for the 2019 NJCAA Division I Men’s Cross Country Championship in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on November 9. This marks the second time in College history that a Lakehawk team has qualified for a national championship.
LSSC’s Continuing Education will offer a Wreath Making course on November 14, just in time for the holiday season.
The LSSC community donated over 1,000 hours of community service on Friday to 22 projects across Lake and Sumter Counties at the second annual Lakehawk Service Day on October 18.

The community is invited to a student theater production of “Peter Pan in Neverland” that will be performed at the Lake-Sumter State College Paul P. Williams Auditorium on the Leesburg Campus on October 25 & 26.
All classes and activities on the Leesburg campus will resume tomorrow, October 2. A precautionary boil order is in effect for the Student Center, Fine Arts & Convocation Center (Gymnasium).
Out of an abundance of caution, the Leesburg Campus has been closed for the day and all in-person classes have been canceled. All operations continue at the South Lake Campus and Sumter Center.
