Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting your leadership journey, the Bachelor of Applied Science in Leadership (BAS-L) program at Lake-Sumter State College provides the tools, support, and guidance you need to excel in any industry or organization.
We all have leadership potential, and this program builds a foundation to prepare leaders to effectively manage their organizations and positively impact their communities. You will define your leadership philosophy by understanding yourself, others, and the community. We want you to be excited by your responsibility as a leader and change-agents. This program will be offered with both on-campus and online course requirements. Additional experiences outside of the classroom could require travel. You can obtain a BAS in Leadership degree from Lake-Sumter State College with the completion of approximately 60-hours on top of your A.A. or A.S. degree.
Graduates of this program pursue a multitude of career paths in a broad range of industries which may include: sales, retail, small business, government, public safety, healthcare, criminal justice, event management, and not-for-profit organizations.

The BAS in Leadership degree with an Organizational Management concentration can open the door to many different career opportunities in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, as well as entrepreneurship.
