Go Lakehawks! We have both spring and fall sports to cheer on at our sports complex field that has a track, tennis court, and more.

Lake-Sumter State College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA). Currently, the Lakehawks compete in three Division I NJCAA sports:

  • Baseball
  • Softball
  • Women’s Volleyball
  • Men’s Cross Country (starting in Fall 2018)
  • Women’s Cross Country (starting in Fall 2018)

Student-athletes excel both in and out of the classroom. Scholarships are available to all eligible students.

With a Strength and Conditioning Center, all of our athletes have the access they need to meet their physical goals. Batting cages and a pitching range also ensure that our bat-and-ball teams have the equipment they need to succeed. We are also committed to enhancing and providing quality healthcare for all student-athletes, which is why we retain certified athletic trainers and healthcare professionals who specialize in sports medicine.

The Miracle League is a special needs baseball league that is about building self-esteem and meeting new friends. We are proud to host the North Lake Miracle League events at our Leesburg Campus where our student-athletes regularly participate.
