The Villages Early College Academy provides a fast-track program to a college degree. The Early College Academy is a structured dual enrollment program that provides students an opportunity to acquire their associate’s degree or college credit certificate through a cohort class model. Students join the program with a group of students and take a predetermined sequence of courses that will eventually lead to an associate’s degree or certificate.

  • Students in the academy have the opportunity graduate with an Associate’s Degree from LSSC
  • Lets the student ease into the coursework giving them the ability to get support from their HS while the build the necessary skills to succeed in college
  • Building a relationship with instructors to understand their expectations

  • Enables them to learn advanced material as well as giving them the ability to handle the rigor of college courses.

  • Students in the program take courses towards an A.A. degree while engaging in a specialized academy
  • Students can take up to 18 credits per semester
  • Participation in annual Early College Summit and Early College Day

  • Currently enrolled at The Villages High School
  • Currently in grade 9th – 12th
  • 3.0 unweighted high school GPA
  • Academic college readiness as demonstrated through scores on a common placement test
