The Annual Campaign is the LSSC Foundation’s central fundraising effort, kicking off for LSSC employees in October and publicly in January. When you support the Annual Campaign, you’re supporting the LSSC Foundation’s efforts to maximize student success at Lake-Sumter State College. Generous donors enable the LSSC Foundation to provide student scholarships and program support, including technology, staffing, and capital equipment each year. Together, we can make a difference by creating opportunities for students in our community.

Annual gifts touch every corner of the campus and impact the entire student population today and in the future.

Your support helps LSSC students through scholarships and Lake-Sumter State College through program support. LSSC had record enrollment of 5,200 students for the Fall 2023 semester and saw a 32% increase in scholarship applications, leading to much-needed scholarship awards of $582,000. This growth includes a new location in Four Corners and targeted expansions in Allied Health programs.

  • The LSSC Foundation awarded over $1,000,000 and over 1,300 students in scholarships in 2023, reaching the highest student assistance since our inception in 1980.
  • The LSSC Foundation has received more than $3,000,000 in grant funding to support:
    • Continued expansion of Healthcare programs
      • AS Nursing
      • Medical Lab Tech
      • Respiratory Therapy
    • New degree program in Sports and Human Performance
    • New degree program in Emerging Media
  • In 2023, the LSSC Foundation has awarded over $15,000 in student emergency grants to assist students experiencing extenuating circumstances.

These are all areas that people and organizations choose to fund through the LSSC Foundation. The needs continue to grow, and we seek your support on behalf of all LSSC students.

LSSC Employee Payroll Deduction

All pledges received by December 15, 2023, will be effective beginning January 15, 2024. All pledges will go toward the 2024 Goal.

Please notify Payroll in writing at Payroll@LSSC.EDU to request to terminate the deduction by the 1st or 16th of the pay period for the change to happen in the specific pay period.
