The Annual Campaign is the LSSC Foundation’s central fundraising effort, kicking off publicly in January and in October for LSSC employees. When you support the Annual Campaign, you’re supporting the LSSC Foundation’s efforts to maximize student success at Lake-Sumter State College. Each year, generous donors enable the LSSC Foundation to provide student scholarships and program support, including technology, staffing, and capital equipment. Together, we can make a difference by creating opportunities for students in our community.
Annual gifts touch every corner of the campus and impact the entire student population – both today and in the future.
Your support helps LSSC students through scholarships and Lake-Sumter State College through program support. We awarded over $1,000,000 and over 1300 students in scholarships in 2022, reaching the highest totals in student assistance since our inception in 1980.
Since the national and local impacts of COVID-19, the LSSC Foundation has distributed 167,000 pounds of food to just nearly 6,000 students and community members.

The Live Well Foundation of South Lake has awarded Lake-Sumter State College and the LSSC Foundation a $170,500 grant in support of a new associate degree (AS) in Medical Lab Technology.
“The Live Well Foundation Board of Directors chose to support Lake-Sumter State College’s Medical Laboratory Technology program to solve a need for this health-related service,” said LWFSL Board Chair Dr. Kasey Kesselring. “There is currently an extensive list of employment opportunities for this profession in Lake and Sumter Counties, including all four hospitals. Our community will now have the resources to prepare students for employment as medical/clinical laboratory technologists or medical laboratory technicians.”

LSSC Employee Payroll Deduction
All pledges received by December 16, 2022, will be effective beginning January 15, 2023. All pledges will go toward the 2023 Goal.
Please notify Payroll in writing at Payroll@LSSC.EDU to request to terminate the deduction by the 1st or 16th of the pay period for the change to happen in the specific pay period.
One Time/Recurring Donation
You can make a one-time or monthly recurring gift today using your credit or debit card. All one-time contributions and monthly pledges will go toward the 2023 goal.
