Dear Performing Arts Series Ticketholder,
We appreciate your ongoing support of the Performing Arts Series at Lake-Sumter State College. Each year, we enjoy bringing you a line-up of exciting shows that highlight music, dance, and performance.

This year, as we continue to adapt to changes brought by the global pandemic, we regret to inform you that we will be canceling the 2020-2021 Performing Art Series events. We do not take this decision lightly, but have done so out of an abundance of caution and a deep concern for your health and safety. This includes the Angel and Patron Reception (10/2/20) as well as the Golden Dragon Acrobats rescheduled shows (3/30/21-4/1/21).

As you know, the LSSC Foundation provides scholarships to LSSC students and offers support to students, the College, and the community. These needs are even greater due to the effects of COVID-19. We ask that, in lieu of a refund, you consider donating your ticket costs to support student scholarships and the efforts of the LSSC Foundation.

We value our relationship with you and will keep in touch throughout the coming year. When we are able to resume shows, we will maintain our standard process of offering subscription holders the first opportunity to renew their seats. Stay safe, stay well, and I hope to see you at a show soon!

Riders in the Sky

America’s favorite cowboys

40 years ago. No laptops, no cellular phones, no Google, no downloads, no Skype, no Tweets, no Apple, no Microsoft, no texting, no electric cars, no Uber. A different world. But there were three young men with drive and wit who wanted to keep a special music alive. They believed in preserving the heritage of Western Music and presenting it to a new generation. They believed in entertaining, and they did so… entertaining themselves as well as the audience! And they believed in creating original Western Music to continue the tradition, not just seal it in amber as a museum piece. What they did not realize at the time was that they would be doing the same thing 40 years later.
