Welcome back, Lakehawk! We’re glad that you are returning to us to continue your educational journey. Here’s what you need to do to be re-admitted into Lake-Sumter State College.
1. First Steps
Determine your re-admission status
A re-entry student is defined as a previous LSSC student who has not taken classes within two consecutive semesters or has been a previous dual enrolled student and is returning under a degree-seeking status.
Contact the Admissions Office if you have questions about your eligibility.
Apply for re-entry
Once you have determined that you are eligible for re-entry status, please complete the online Re-Entry Application.
- Applications for Fall 2020 (classes begin on August 24) is August 13. Any applications received after this date will be processed for Spring 2021.
Consider financial aid
If you haven’t applied for financial aid yet then do so as soon as possible. Learn more.
2. After Successful Re-entry
Send us your Florida Residency Affidavit
Proving your Florida residency status ensures you do not have to pay out-of-state residency fees on your tuition. The form should be completed and sent to the Admissions and Records Office. You will need your student XID (found in your acceptance letter).
Check your student email account
Your student email account is how we communicate with you and provide you with important information that you need to know about.
Students with a 504 or IEP
If you have a 504 or IEP, please contact Student Accessibility Services. At Lake-Sumter State College, we are committed to working with students with disabilities to provide academic accommodations in making Lake-Sumter State College equal access, equal opportunity institution.
